A gender identity is a private experience that directly determines how somebody feels with regard to the same self, as well as their stance with others. It means, for a transsexual and transgender person, becoming true to life would mean making the body features acceptable to his or her gender identity. It is an extreme form of mental disorder; gender dysphoria is distress accompanying a disconnection between the individual’s gender identity and his assigned sex at birth.[1][3]
It has classified the above into two broad categories – GAHT (Gender Affirmation Hormone Therapy & GAS (Gender Affirmation Surgery). Hormone Therapy: The End
The most common type of gender-affirming care (Gender Affirmation Surgery) that is provided is hormone therapy. Hormone therapy is prescribed based on the assumption that hormones cause body changes that will align with a person’s self-concept of his or her gender.
Hormone Therapy in Transfeminine Person
- Estrogen Therapy: This involves administering estrogen that will help create body features to resemble those of a woman. Such body features include the growth of the breasts, redistribution of fat around the hips and thighs, and soft skin.
- Androgen Blockers: This reduces testosterone levels hence minimizing features that are of masculine character. Such features include the growth of facial hair and the production of a deep voice.[6]
Hormone Therapy in Transmasculine Person
- Hormone Testosterone: This hormone maximizes masculinity through testosterone drugs. The drugs result in several side effects that comprise the additional body and facial hair; voice becomes low, and simultaneously, levels of muscles are high with the outline of a body that leads towards having a well-defined jaw line; the menstruation eventually stops whereas the body is redistributed by having a masculine view.[6]
Hormones would mostly be used immediately after caregivers deliberate on the plan to be implemented. Treatment at times would help in determining whether the strategy is harmless and appropriate in the pursuit of objectives.

Transfeminine Case of Gender Affirmation Surgery
- Augmentation Mastopexy: The surgery expands the breast’s size and remakes the chest for more feminineness.
- Facial Feminization Surgery: Surgeries include jaw contouring, brow reduction, and rhinoplasty change to the facial features of gender-act. Vaginoplasty: In this surgery, anatomy is made so that matching up to the female gender can be seen from pre-existing genital tissues.
Gender Confirmation Surgeries for Transmasculine Patients
- Top Surgery: Chest Reconstruction: All the tissue of the breast is removed. So the chest will become completely flat. What will be seen is a glimpse of what otherwise would be a male body.
- Hysterectomy and Oophorectomy: In this operation, the uterus and portions of the ovaries are removed. The latter procedure can often be combined with top surgery.
- Phalloplasty or Metoidioplasty: This procedure in which the building of the penis takes place through transplantation of tissues, yet often would include the genital region, and perhaps sometimes applied as part of that tissue generation as of the organ-building process to make a specific material from it, and thereby part body transference for the particular component of the human has created a male figure.
This can be so horribly difficult and often requires tremendous planning, great surgeons, as well as an incredible healthcare team in such a way that recovery may also be improved. Indeed, interventions of this nature have largely had emotional, and psychological implications on the most prominent planes.
